The Real Madrid skipper insists he beat Barcelona's forward to the 'call me' celebration, after using it in a Champions League tie with Napoli
Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos explained his phone call celebration against Napoli, insisting he did it before Lionel Messi.
Messi caused a stir with the 'call me' celebration after scoring in Barcelona's 5-0 La Liga thrashing of Celta Vigo on Saturday.

It was believed Messi was gesturing to the club about his contract situation, although it was later said it was aimed at his nephew.
Just days later and Ramos repeated it after netting in Madrid's 3-1 victory as the Spanish giants completed a 6-2 aggregate win in the Champions League last-16.

But Ramos was quick to point out it was a celebration he used long before the Barcelona maestro.
"I made the gesture before Leo," he said after the win on Tuesday.

"I did it at the Camp Nou."
Ramos thought he had a brace, only for Madrid's second to be credited a Dries Mertens own goal, before Alvaro Morata completed the win.
